etad viparyayeṇa punaḥ pūrvaka-kuśala(8)-karma-phalevarttamāna iha(9) kuśala-kārītamo-jyotiṣ-parāyaṇo veditvyaḥ / tatra ayaṃ viśeṣaḥ / maraṇa-samaye'sya svapna[5] iva a-vikṛtaṃ(10) manāpa-vicitraṃ rūpa-darśanaṃ prādurbhavati //

tatra adhimātrā-kuśala-kāriṇastad-vikṛtanimitta-darśanāt prasvedaś ca jāyate / roma-kūpebhyo romāñcaś ca bhavati / hasta-pāda-vikṣepādayaś ca bhavanti / [6] mūtra-purīpotsargaś ca bhavati / ākāśa-parāmarśanam akṣi(11)-parivartanaṃ mukhataḥ phena-niḥsravaṇa(12)m ityevaṃ-bhāgīyā dharmā utpadyante //

sa cet punar madhya-kārī bhavati tasya kecid vikārā(13) bhavanti kecin na bhavanti / na paripūrṇāḥ sarve //

sarvasya ca [7] mriyamāṇasya vispasṭa-saṃjñāvasthāma-prāptasya(1) dīrgha-kālābhyasta ātma-snehaḥ samudācarati / tatastad-vaśād ahaṃ na bhavāmītyātma-bhāvābhinandanā bhavati / sa asya [Tib. 11a. 1] pratiṣṭā bhavatyantarā-bhavābhinirvṛttau //

tatra srota āpannasya sakṛd-āgāminaś ca tasmin samaya ātma-snehaḥ samudācarati / sa ca srotāpannaḥ sakṛd-āgāmī vā tam ātma-snehaṃ nitīrya nitīrya abhi[2]nigṛhṇāti na adhivāsayati tad-yathā balavattara-puruṣo dur-balatareṇa puruṣeṇa yudhyamāno dur-balam abhinigṛhṇāti tad-vad atra api nayo draṣṭavyaḥ //
